1. Who we are
This website is operated by Flash Sync (SMC-Private) Limited, a company incorporated in Pakistan (SECP Corporate Unique Identification No. 0355401), with its registered office at 10C Pearl, Block C, Pak Arab Society, Lahore, Pakistan (“Flash Sync”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through flashsync.ai, including the waitlist, the referral programme and the website chat assistant, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the pre-launch website only. The Flash Sync product will have its own privacy notice when it launches.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name and email address when you join the waitlist, the messages you type into the chat assistant, and anything you send us when you contact us.
- Referral information: your unique referral link, who referred you, how many people joined through your link, and your waitlist position.
- Information collected automatically: your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, the site that referred you, and your approximate location (country or city). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 6.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not share confidential work details, passwords or other sensitive information in the chat assistant.
3. How we use your information
- To add you to the waitlist, track your position, and apply referral rewards such as moving you up the list.
- To send you a sign-up confirmation, early-access invitations, launch news and founder offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To answer your questions through the chat assistant or by email.
- To understand how people use the site and measure our marketing campaigns. We only do this with your consent for non-essential cookies.
- To prevent spam, fraud and fake referrals, and to keep the site secure.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or another place with similar data protection laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent, for marketing emails and for analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Taking steps at your request, to give you a place on the waitlist and run the referral programme.
- Legitimate interests, to keep the site secure, prevent fraud and improve the website.
- Legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or share information.
5. Website chat assistant
The chat assistant on our website is an automated AI tool that answers questions about Flash Sync using our website content. When you type a message, it is processed by a trusted third-party AI model provider to generate a reply. Our provider may use messages to improve its services, so please don’t share personal or confidential information in the chat.
We keep chat conversations for up to 90 days so we can improve answers and look into any problems, and then delete them. We do not use chat messages for advertising. Replies are generated automatically and may sometimes be inaccurate.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to make the site work and to protect it from spam, including Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha. These are always on.
With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, loaded through Google Tag Manager. These help us measure visits and the performance of our advertising on Meta and LinkedIn.
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer. Declining these cookies does not affect your place on the waitlist.
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website, and only as far as they need it:
- Website hosting: Framer.
- Domain, security and content delivery: Cloudflare.
- Waitlist and referral management: [waitlist tool — e.g. Viral Loops or GetWaitlist].
- Email delivery: [email provider].
- Chat assistant: our AI service provider (see section 5).
- Analytics and advertising: Google, Meta and LinkedIn (with your consent).
- Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha.
We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid legal request, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case we will tell you.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Pakistan, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer information internationally, we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses where these apply.
9. How long we keep your information
- Waitlist and referral information: until 12 months after the Flash Sync product launches publicly, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If you create a Flash Sync account at launch, the product privacy notice will apply from then on.
- Chat assistant conversations: up to 90 days.
- Analytics information: in line with the retention settings of each analytics provider.
- Emails and support messages: up to 2 years.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time.
To make a request, email hello@flashsync.ai with the subject line “Privacy request”. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Security
The site uses HTTPS encryption, access to personal information is limited to people who need it, and we use reputable service providers with their own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
12. Children
This website is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and we will email waitlist members about any significant changes.
